My Promise
Do you often feel on edge, tense, or like something bad will happen at any moment? Is it hard to “turn off” your brain from worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet? You’ve probably dealt with these things for so long that it’s become normal and familiar. If you’ve decided you’re ready for a change, you’ve come to the right place. At Anxiety Reset Psychotherapy (Anxiety Reset for short), you will receive compassionate mental health treatment to help jump off the hamster wheel of anxiety and on the path toward the things that really matter to you.
I believe in a whole-person approach to mental health, and I am committed to providing evidence-based treatments for anxiety-related conditions, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, OCD, body dysmorphia, and trauma. You will be challenged to think, feel, and do things very differently than what you’re used to. At times therapy may be very difficult. I am committed to championing your strengths and challenging you to grow in service of your treatment goals. Together, we will give your anxiety a “hard reset” so you can move forward in life.

What to Expect
A course of therapy can last anywhere between 8-20 weekly or biweekly sessions. We will begin by getting a clear understanding of your therapy goals—specific, measurable goals we can use as a benchmark to track your progress. Perhaps anxiety has interfered with your quality of life because you avoid going out in public. Your treatment goals may include things like, “I will go to the gym three times per week,” “I will attend my son’s baseball games without leaving early,” or “I will confidently wear clothes that fit my body rather than hiding in oversized clothes.” With your goals in mind, you will engage in required “out of session practice” assignments designed to reinforce what we discuss in session and speed up your recovery from severe anxiety.
Getting started with therapy can be an overwhelming process filled with a mix of emotions such as feeling overwhelmed, apprehension, and even unsure whether you’ve made the right choice. Together, we will come up with a plan to meet your goals. You can be confident that everything we work on is meant to move you closer to your goals.
